Qiuchen (秋尘) is the founder of Dustfall Studio and a documentary film director. She graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2009 and earned her MFA in Directing from Temple University in Philadelphia in 2014.

Her short film The Pride was selected for the San Diego Asian Film Festival. She has worked as an editor on BET Television’s weekly documentary series Being, and as a post-production producer for television commercials, coordinating multi-country teams for clients such as Cadillac and Skechers.

The name Dustfall comes from Qiuchen’s Chinese name—literally “autumn dust.” By coincidence, it mirrors her love for documentary film art: the dust of history quietly settles within light and shadow. She believes that the calm power of recording reality, when set against an era flooded with fast-paced, information-heavy short videos, can spark the most interesting kinds of resonance.

Dustfall的名字来源于秋尘的中文名：秋天的飞尘。这个名字恰巧与她热爱的纪录片相照应：历史的尘埃静静在光影里落下。她相信冷静的记录真实的力量和信息爆炸短视频横飞的时代，能擦出最有意思的火花。
